Carl Jarvis joined the Champion team as the Houston Automation Manager in April 2021. As an Automation Manager, Carl manages client relationships, employees, projects, and business development efforts for Champion’s Houston office. He uses his knowledge of Texas and Louisiana’s refining, petrochemical, and pipeline industries to contribute to our clients’ overall success.
Carl entered the automation industry through an opportunity with a major control systems manufacturer. Since that time, he has scoped and specified a wide range of control system retrofits and expansions. He attributes his success in automation to the technical discipline he learned in the Nuclear Navy.
Carl is a lifelong learner with a strong interest in all aspects of automation and control projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Carl is also an alumnus of the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program, where he served as the Reactor Controls Division Officer on the USS NIMITZ.
In his spare time, Carl and his wife enjoy spending time with their four children.
