Ken has been Champion’s Vice President of Operations since 2012. Ken supports every aspect of the business, including engineering, sales, estimation, project management, manufacturing, fabrication, design, purchasing, safety, human resources, business systems and quality management. Under Ken’s leadership, Champion grew from an 85-person organization to a 130-person team in 10 locations nation-wide, increasing Champion’s customer base by 20%. Ken uses his experience and expertise to manage the start-up and integration of Champion’s current business units and lead the development of future business units throughout the country. Among his many contributions, Ken is responsible for vendor management and certification programs, including solution provider requirements and pricing agreements. He also leads the development and implementation of company-wide standards, processes, and procedures, including the use of Enterprise Resource Planning, Project Costing, and employee collaboration platforms.
Ken has over 25 years of experience in the automation industry. He began his career in the Aerospace industry with AlliedSignal and McDonald Douglas with a focus on CNC and Robotic systems then as a Technical Skills Instructor at Boeing Company, with a focus on Honeywell and Allen-Bradley systems. He moved into a position as Senior Field Support Engineer at Rockwell Automation, specializing in PLC, HMI, AC/DC drives, motion control, and CNC equipment. At Rockwell, he progressed from a Technical Support Supervisor/Capability Team Leader to an Engineering Solutions Manager. Before joining Champion, Ken successfully led and oversaw the sustainable development and growth of several organizations, including Tegron, LP and Glenmount Global Solutions.
Ken holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Western International University. Ken is Project Management Professional-certified.
