As an Automation Manager, Ed Morrison manages customer relationships, employees, projects, and business development efforts for Champion’s Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT offices. He oversees operations in the Rockies, with customers in numerous industries throughout Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and the Dakotas. The Rockies team has successfully executed large and small control system upgrades for various industries including food & beverage, uranium energy, and oil & gas.

With over 25 years’ experience in the automation field, Ed started his career as an electrical engineer for Conoco in South Louisiana where he gained experience designing, programming and managing electrical and control systems on offshore production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. Ed returned to his roots in the Rocky Mountains and has worked for System Integrators in the area over the last 20 years. His projects include water/wastewater systems, ore mining and processing (gold and molybdenum), food and beverage automation (Coors, Anheuser Busch, Yoplait), and pharmaceutical validation (Amgen, Sandoz).

Ed holds a BSEE from the University of Wyoming and an MBA degree from the University of Phoenix. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
